Cotten's Famous Hamburgers

One of the great places in Lake Charles to get a hamburger is Cotten's Famous Hamburgers.  If you want just a hamburger and nothing else, it'll only cost $1.00 plus tax!

Pappy's Deli

While this is a restaurant, it can be quite smoky because of the bar next door.  There is a break between the dividing wall and ceiling that allows the smoke from the bar to enter into the restaurant area.    If you don't mind this, though, you can eat in (calling in and picking up the order from inside the restaurant is also an option).  This review is a little older, and I think the hours have changed, so calling Pappy's for the correct hours is a good idea.  However, the rest of the information is correct.

Pujo St. Cafe

Pujo St. Cafe is one of the best restaurants in Lake Charles!  It offers enough options that a whole family can enjoy dining there.   People are welcome to wear casual clothes such as shorts or jeans, but the atmosphere is also very nice and can be extremely romantic, which makes it a great place to take a date.

PG's Diner

If you are looking for a place that can give you the feel of a '50s or '60s diner, such as a malt shop like you might see on Happy Days, PG's Diner is the place that you want!  Stop in and grab a quick bite or stay and order a whole meal!  Breakfast is served all day long!

Lake Charles has a great local band (who are quite Beatles-esque), and they are trying to break out, but like being known as the band from the "little town" of Lake Charles.  They are called The Research Turtles.
